Continued High Level of Approvals in January 2007
The SBA Franchise Registry continued its robust activity in January with the additional approval of 14 new brands to its list of franchises who facilitate SBA financing for their franchisees. Another ten brands renewed their listing by asking the SBA to review their most current franchise agreement.
The Franchise Registry is the online listing of franchise systems whose franchisees receive expedited loan processing when applying for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
"I think this number of approvals in January traditionally a less active month shows that these systems are planning for a year of growth and want to be ready as early as possible," said Darrell Johnson, President, FRANdata. "Their listing will keep their franchisees from facing a delay when they go for SBA-guaranteed loans and that, in turn, means that the franchise's growth overall with be faster."
