FRANdata’s research is highly client-oriented: we help our clients make better business decisions. We perform custom research projects, produce industry and subject studies, and use our data to help vendors and suppliers better target their marketing efforts at the franchising vertical.
We are currently looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. This position is a crucial member of the Research team. Your role would be:
- You will author research reports on individual companies as well as industries, including both standard and complex custom reports according to FRANdata’s style and layout guidelines. You will also generate ideas about how information can be developed, packaged and sold to clients. You will “own” many projects from the data entering phase through various research and editorial steps right to the point of delivery.
- Everyone can build tables from data. FRANdata interprets what they really mean. As senior business intelligence analyst you will be required to combine our data with additional sources of information, create models and then tell the story behind the data.
- You will interact with VP and C-level executives of our client companies to help them solve their problems that often have no clear answers.
Qualifications
This position requires solid financial and statistical analysis capabilities, business planning, benchmarking and competitive analysis expertise, and business strategy formulation and implementation aptitude.
Qualified applicants will be curious, enthusiastic, and have common sense. Attention to detail is a must, as is a strong need to be accurate in your work. Reading comprehension and an ability to summarize written information is necessary. You will have to digest a vast amount of information and be able to target it to different audiences.
Your academic or professional experiences should include a strong finance background and the ability to take on custom financial research projects. You may have worked with a consulting services or investment company. You should have no less than five years of experience and a master’s degree. You have a familiarity and natural aptitude with databases and analysis tools (MS Excel, SQL, etc.).

FRANdata is constantly looking for Part-Time Assistants or Student Interns to assist in our Information Management, Administration or Marketing Departments. These positions are ideal for people who need flexible schedules or for students who want internships.
Your duties may include any of several categories from collecting and processing data about franchise systems, lead generation and interacting with CRM, data entry, verification and processing, or assisting with research projects.
Qualifications
Specific qualifications vary depending on need, however all candidates must be able to follow direction, perform tasks accurately and efficiently, and be a stickler for accuracy in your work. Reading comprehension is required as is a general knowledge of office computer systems. Enthusiasm and reliability are important characteristics.
